Olive Garden Annual Pasta Tales Essay Contest – Open to students in first through twelfth grades in the U.S. and Canada. Essay of 50 – 250 words, “Describe how furthering your education beyond high school will help make your dreams come true.” Contest grand prize is a three-day trip to New York City and a $2,500 savings bond. California Association of Collectors Educational Scholarship Foundation – Open to all California high school seniors. Requirements are a one-page application and a 700-1,000 word essay on the “Importance of Establishing and Maintaining Good Credit during Your College Years”. Visit website at www.cacesf.org. The Princeton Prize in Race Relations – Open to high school students grades 9-12 who are

Bay Area All Star Scholarship Team: Students must display leadership qualities, must have a 3.0 GPA, and demonstrates good work ethic and community outreach. Students must be legal residents. KFC Colonel’s Scholars – Open to all graduating high school seniors who have earned a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher, enroll in a public college or university within their state of legal residence, plan to pursue a bachelor’s degree, are a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, and demonstrate a financial need. Guardian “Girls Going Places” Entrepreneurship Award – Open to girls ages 12-18

demonstrating budding entrepreneurship and are making a difference in their school and

communities. A 250-word or less personal essay must be submitted with entry form along with a

McDowell Drug Task Force – Open to high school seniors currently enrolled at Casa Grande, Petaluma,St. Vincents, San Antonio, or Rancho Cotate High Schools who have a 2.0 or higher GPA, have completed 40 or more hours of community service, and be enrolled in one of the following fields of education: health services, educator, public safety, counseling, or environmental. California Farm Bureau Federation – Open to any undergraduate student who is a California resident entering or attending a four-year accredited college or university in California and pursuing a career in the agricultural industry. Tall Club - Kae Sumner Einfeldt & Virginia Linquist Winker Scholarships – Open to all qualifying high school seniors and any applicant under the age of 21 attending their first year at a two or four year accredited institution of higher learning. All applicants must meet the minimum height requirement of 5’10” for women and 6’2” for men. Application packets available in the RCHS Career Center. Deadline 3/9/11 – must be postmarked no later than 3/9/11.

Marissa Imarie Memorial Scholarship: For students who have experienced mental health problems, have sought help in conquering problems, and are motivated in continuing their education. Students must complete an essay.
